Slippery Rock University Women's Soccer High School Residential Camp
July 31-August 3, 2022
Slippery Rock's Women's Soccer camps and clinics are designed to totally immerse players in the competitive environment of our own championship team. Players will receive and detail oriented, yet enjoyable, sessions and will be given the opportunity to work closely with collegiate coaches and players. Small training modules will be utilized within the framework of game situations, allowing players to test themselves against strong competition. During the camps and clinics, goalkeepers will receive specific training from our own goalkeeper coach while focusing on the important technical and tactical aspects of the position. We will work to prepare your team for the upcoming high school season.
Cost & Registration
Price per Player/Camper: $400
Includes instruction, meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and overnight lodging).
Non-Refundable Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of $100.00 is included in the registration fee.
Camp Check-In/Check-Out
Check-in will be from 12 pm on Sunday, July 31 at Building B for both residents and commuters. Please follow directional signage on campus to Building B. Check-out will be 12 pm on Wednesday, August 3.
Camp Information
Location/Housing
The camp will be conducted on the campus of Slippery Rock University. Guests will be housed in the residence halls. Each suite is air-conditioned and includes a mini refrigerator and a microwave oven. Each suite features a private bathroom including a shower for every two beds. Registration fees are based on double occupancy.
Medical Information
SRU and the SRU Foundation Inc. do not provide medical insurance for campers. Athletes with special medical problems must notify the camp director; all medications must be registered with the Camp Director. SRU staff will NOT administer medications. Athletes must supply their own tape.
What to bring
Only casual dress is necessary. Campers should bring an adequate supply of shorts, T-shirts, socks and toiletries for the camp. Also bring cleats, soccer ball, shin guards, sweats, towels, pillow and linens (twin XL bed).

SRU Women's Soccer Head Coach Jessica Giegucz
Slippery Rock University women’s soccer head coach Jessica (Griggs) Giegucz will enter her seventh season in charge of The Rock’s program in 2021.
Giegucz was officially named the women's soccer head coach at Slippery Rock on March 30, 2015. She has seamlessly continued The Rock’s tradition of being one of the top teams in the Atlantic Region by guiding SRU to five straight Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Tournament berths as well as a stellar 63-29-6 (.673) record in her five seasons at The Rock.
Slippery Rock has successfully extended its string of consecutive winning seasons to 24 under Giegucz’ guidance, which is tied for the fourth longest streak in NCAA Division II history as well as being the third longest active streak in the nation behind only UC San Diego (34) and West Florida (25).
Since arriving at The Rock, Giegucz has coached 25 All-PSAC honorees, 13 all-region selections, nine CoSIDA Academic All-District award recipients and three CoSIDA Academic All-Americans.
Giegucz came to Slippery Rock after a one-year stint as the head coach at Division III Northland College in Wisconsin, where she led the team to an 11-9-1 overall record and an appearance in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference semifinals. She inherited a team that won a combined 20 games over the three years before her appointment as head coach.
Prior to her one year at Northland, Giegucz served as an assistant coach at Shippensburg University for four years under current Raider coach Rob Fulton, who was named the PSAC and Atlantic Region Coach of the Year in 2013, Gieguczs’ final year with program.
She graduated from Dickinson College with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish in 2007 and completed a Masters of Sport and Exercise Psychology from Lock Haven University in 2017. Giegucz also owns a National Diploma from the NSCAA and a “C” License from the United States Soccer Federation.
SRU Women's Soccer Assistant Coach Kohl Orner
Kohl Orner joined the Slippery Rock women's soccer coaching staff as a goalkeepers and defensive assistant coach in February of 2021.
Orner joined The Rock coaching staff after spending three years as an assistant coach for the women’s soccer program at Division lll North Carolina Wesleyan.
Prior to becoming an assistant coach for the Bishops, Orner spent the 2017 season as an assistant coach for the Averett University men’s soccer program in Virginia, where he also served as an advisor with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Before spending the 2017 season with the Cougars, Orner began his collegiate coaching career as an assistant coach with the Lebanon Valley College women’s soccer team.
As a student-athlete, Orner played goalkeeper at the Division ll level at fellow Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference member institution Millersville University, where he served as a team captain. In his two seasons with the Marauders, Orner started 29 games and finished with an .811 career save percentage and a 0.79 goals against average. He was named to All-PSAC and All-Region honors following the 2015 season after helping Millersville reach the NCAA Tournament.
Orner earned his undergraduate degree in education from Millersville in 2016. Additionally, Orner earned a master's degree in education curriculum and instruction from Averett in 2019.
Along with his collegiate coaching experience, the Lancaster, Pennsylvania native has served in coaching roles for the Wilson Youth Soccer Association, North Carolina Olympic Development Program, Danville Soccer Club, Penn Legacy Soccer Club, One on One Soccer, Lititz Soccer Club and the U.S. Soccer U14 and U15 National Teams.
SRU Women's Soccer Assistant Coach Erica Ludwikowski
Erica Ludwikowski will begin her second season as the graduate assistant coach for the Slippery Rock University women’s soccer team in 2021.
Ludwikowski will assist head coach Jessica Giegucz in all facets of the program in addition to pursuing her master’s degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education.
Ludwikowski joined the coaching profession after playing women’s soccer for Rider University.
Prior to her appointment as an SRU assistant, Ludwikowski played four seasons for the Broncs, appearing in 41 games with eight starts. She tallied eight points on four assists and two goals along with adding seven shots on goal from the midfield position.
In addition to a solid playing career, Ludwikowski was named to the MAAC All-Academic team every year as an undergraduate, earning a dual major in sport management and leadership.
Prior to her collegiate career, Ludwikowski was a member of the LDC/City Islanders Club Soccer Team where she was coached by Giegucz.
Additional college coaches and current SRU Women's Soccer players will be assisting in working with the high school teams as well!
