Hello! This year, The Macoskey Center is excited to offer a larger age range for our camps as well as a full day's experience! Through our summer camps, we aim to inspire and create a more just and sustainable through quality environmental education programming. Please find additional information about the camp week below. Costs include a daily snack and all project materials and supplies. However, please be sure to pack a lunch for your camper! Before each camp, we will send you a more detailed schedule, information about how to get to the MC, an introduction to MC staff members, as well as an additional copy of our camp policies and procedures.

Week #4: Farm to Fork

Early Elementary (Entering Grades 1-3 or 6-8 yrs. old) 

Upper Elementary (Entering Grades 4-6 or 9-11 yrs. Old)

Description:

  • Ages 6-8: In this three-day camp, students will learn more about where food comes from! The Macoskey Center uses regenerative and organic practices to provide hands-on experiences in gardening, nature crafts, and farm to fork cooking. Through games and exploration of our 70-acre property, campers will learn about growing, harvesting, and cooking food sustainably!
  • Ages 9-11: In this three-day camp, students will directly experience all stages of the food cycle—from planting to harvesting to composting! Campers will dig into sustainable gardening, explore the Macoskey Center’s food forest, and learn about agriculture from the ground up—including cooking with ingredients grown right here in our garden!
