
REGISTRATION FOR CO-ED CAMP IS CURRENTLY CLOSED.
The Slippery Rock University Adult Co-Ed Volleyball Camp will be June 6-8, 2025. The camp will be under the direction of Acting SRU women's volleyball coach, Erin Street and retired SRU Head Coach, Laurie Lokash. Athletes will receive instruction from top high school and college coaches. The camp is intended for volleyball players of all levels who are at least 21 years old. The camp offers a solid program that combines individual and team skill development, while providing campers with the opportunities to train at their own level. The enrollment for the camp is limited to 112 athletes in order to provide a positive, quality experience for each camper.
Camp Philosophy
The Slippery Rock University coaching staff is committed to training athletes by providing each player with the opportunity to learn and enhance the fundamental skills of volleyball. We attempt to teach the game by providing quality instruction in conjunction with competitive opportunities. The main objectives of the camp, in addition to learning volleyball skills, are to emphasize sportsmanship, teamwork and good old-fashioned fun.
Cost
Resident: $260 Includes instruction, all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), lodging, and a camp t-shirt.
Commuter: $235 Includes, instruction, all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), and a camp t-shirt.
Non-Refundable Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of $50.00 is included in the registration fee.

Camp Check In
Friday, June 6th from 3-5:30 p.m. in Building (TBD) on the SRU campus, please follow directional signs. The first session will start Friday at 6:30 p.m. at the Aebersold Student Recreation Center. The last session will end Sunday at 4:15 p.m.
Location/Facilities
Morrow Fieldhouse and the Aebersold Student Recreation Center, located on the campus of Slippery Rock University, with five air-conditioned wood courts is the site for this year's camp.
Medical Information
SRU and the SRU Foundation Inc. do not provide medical insurance for campers. Athletes with special medical problems must notify the camp director; all medications must be registered with the Camp Director. SRU staff will NOT administer medications. Athletes must supply their own tape.
Housing
The camp will be conducted on the campus of Slippery Rock University. Guests will be housed in the residence suites. Each suite is air-conditioned and includes a mini refrigerator and a microwave oven. Each suite features a private bathroom including a shower for every two beds. Registration fees are based on double occupancy.
What To Bring
Only casual dress is necessary. Campers should bring an adequate supply of shorts, T-shirts, socks and toiletries for the camp. Also bring knee pads, court shoes, second pair of shoes for outside, sweats, towels, pillow and linens (Twin XL bed).

Camp Co-Director: Laurie Lokash
One of the most decorated coaches in not only the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, but all of NCAA Division II; Lokash retired after 40 seasons in charge of the SRU volleyball program. Over her storied career Lokash has recorded 600+ wins, which ranks first in PSAC history and 21st in NCAA Division II all-time. During her time at SRU, Lokash has led The Rock to at least 20 wins 13 times, 10 PSAC Tournament berths, eight NCAA Tournament bids, five PSAC West division championships and two PSAC Tournament titles all the while competing in one of the toughest volleyball conference in Division II. Lokash, who was inducted into the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2002, has been named the PSAC Coach of the Year on two occasions in 2006 and 1993.
Camp Co-Director: Erin Street
Ms. Street is currently the Acting Head Volleyball Coach at Slippery Rock University serving formerly as the head volleyball coach at Grove City College for 4 years. She also works as lead coach at the Infinity Volleyball Camps. Prior to that, she served six years as an assistant coach at SRU, where she was also a graduate assistant before being named to the staff. As an undergraduate, she was a setter at Wheeling Jesuit University.
Janet O'Dell
Ms. O’Dell formerly coached at The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg and Hempfield High School. She is currently a certified USAV and PAVO volleyball official. She played collegiately at Clarion University.
Tammy Swearingen
Ms. Swearingen is in her 29th year as the head coach and senior women's administrator at Westminster College. At Westminster, her teams have won more than 600 matches, including the last 3 PAC championships. She is a graduate of Youngstown State University.
Rae El Whitman
Ms. Whitman is a teacher and coach at Kane HS. She played her undergraduate career as an OH/DS at the Rock.
Mary Ann Stephenson
Ms. Stephenson is currently assisting at Pitt Elite Volleyball Club and also teaches private lessons. She is former player at Gannon University and Norwin High School.
Curt Conser
Curt Conser is the former Head Coach for the men and co-head coach for the women at Geneva College. He is currently the Director of Infinity Volleyball Club in Salem, Ohio. He is an avid beach player and former men's player at Eastern Mennonite University.
Brett Heckathorn
Mr. Heckathorn is the current Men’s Volleyball Coach at Grove City College. He also was the assistant with the Women’s Volleyball team for the past 5 years. He was a captain of the GCC Men’s Club team.
Brandon Lewis
Mr. Lewis is the assistant at Westminster college. He has held that position for the past 24 years. He played collegiately at Ohio State University as a setter and scholastically at Farrell HS. He also works several summer camps in the region.
Meghan Lucas
Meghan is the former high school coach at Butler high school. She has also coached with Revolution Volleyball club in Pittsburgh. Meghan is a graduate of Clarion University where she played collegiately.
Shannon Liposky
Shannon is the current head coach at Heartland Christian HS and a former assistant coach at Westminster College. She was also a 4 year member of the Titan Volleyball program under the direction of Tammy Swearingen.
